Motorcycle Rider Killed in Crash

A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a minivan in the early morning hours of May 8, 2012 in Old Town Victorville.  Michael Johnson, 47, was riding his motorcycle on D Street in the opposite direction of the minivan, driven by Casey Hunter, 32, of Adelanto.  Johnson slammed into the minivan and was thrown from his motorcycle when Hunter made a left turn in front of him.

California has more than 1 million licensed motorcyclists.  In 2010, 361 people died as result of accidents involving motorcycles, and another 11,000 have been injured.
