Aggressive driving is not just annoying to other drivers on the road, it is an easy way to get in a car accident. According to a survey sponsored by Michelin, 94 percent of respondents cited tailgating as the most annoying driving habit. Further, tailgating is a factor in up to 56 percent of fatal car accidents, according to the AAA Foundation.
On its website, AAA gives drivers tips on how to deal with aggressive drivers, which include: refraining from making inappropriate or offensive gesture, not making eye contact with the other driver, and driving to a safe/crowded location or calling 911 if you feel you are being followed by someone. AAA’s website also has a quiz to see if you are an aggressive driver at http://www.aaafoundation.org/quizzes/index.cfm?button=aggressive
